Excavation of

Villanova Monteleone,
where history is rediscovered
Among trees and hills, among rocks and fertile plains, between the perceptible silence of nature, known by a select few, you will finally come to soak in the fragrance and history of Sardinia.

Excavation of “Area A”

The excavated huts are 6, not communicating among them, except the room 1a.

- All the entrances are face to the east quadrant (except, the room 7a);

- all of them open onto a common courtyard;

- the huts are made with a support wall made of stone, originally 1,60 meters high;

- the hearths currently found are very few;

- within the huts, there were beds and areas destined to the daily works, often delimited by stone slabs fixed in the ground;

- in the walls it is possible to observe "niches", generally used as little storehouse;

- the floor is generally made of beaten of clay, and only in the hut 4a it is made of stone.
